My New Years Resolution Didn't Last Very Long!

I'm sorry for not keeping to my New Year's Resolution about updating this blog, but I"m going to make up for it......I PROMISE!

So what's been going on with the Daly's? Well, I turned the "Dirty 30" on Jan 5th and Rochelle set up an amazing dinner with some of our friends at Tommy's Restaurant. We had a great meal with a lot of great wine (THANKS KADALAK!).

Rochelle is right around 4 weeks away from her delivery date, but the baby is low and ready to come! She is hoping that Baby Daly wants to come before February 8th because that is when her dad leaves for Spring Training. Other than a little back pain at night, it has been a wonderful pregnancy for Rochelle and now we are starting to get prepared for PARENTHOOD.

Along with my birthday, we celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary (TIME FLYS) and Rochelle's 28th birthday.

Rochelle has granted me a weekend pass for Duck Hunting this weekend with Beau and Thomas, so we will be up in Mendota all weekend in Beau's new Camper! Wish us luck and not the Ducks!

I will follow up with some more blogs to come and I have to put some great pictures from Rochelle's Baby Shower.

Happy New Year!

I wanted to wish everyone an early Happy New Year and give everyone an update on Baby Daly!

We are 6 weeks away from the BIG DAY and Momma is still doing great; aside from some back pain when she sleeps. It's crazy to think that in a little over a month our baby will be here.....9 months goes by really quickly.

We are in Cayucos for the Holiday Weekend and below you will find some pictures of Rochelle and I. You can see that the "Baby Bump" is still growing rapidly!

2010 was a great year and we are so excited for the upcoming 2011! It's always nice to think back on what has happened in the last year and give thanks, so I thought I would list some of the things that Rochelle and I are thankful for...................

  • Baby Daly's Daddy having a JOBBY-JOB that he loves!

  • The addition of Miss Kensie Jae!

  • The addition of Haley Daly! (At least I think we are thankful for her....LOL)

  • The great friends and family in our lives that we love so much!

  • The last year in my twenties! (Please don't remind me)

  • And of course last but not least.........THE NEWS OF ROCHELLE'S PREGNANCY!

My New Year's Resolution will be to try and put more posts leading up to Baby Daly's arrival.

Happy New Years from The Daly's!

Too Long!

Sorry for the long delay between posts!! I've been a little busy with that thing people call a "JOB". So, what's been going on? Well, besides Baby Daly trying to poke through my wifes stomach like a scene out of the movie "Alien", everything has been great.

Rochelle and Baby Daly are doing great and we go for our next sonogram on Wednesday of next week. The last sonogram showed Baby Daly and how big he is getting, although we didn't see much because we didn't want to accidently see something that would ruin the "BIG SUPRISE". We knew he was big when our technician said "WOW, That baby has some meat on his bones!

Now I know what you all are thinking.......it obviously takes after Daddy, but I think it's fair to point out that I was only a little over 7 lbs when my beautiful wife weighed in at womping 9lbs 12 oz.

Other than that we are getting prepared for the arrival of Baby Daly by finishing up the Nursery, which you will see pictures of below. Rochelle did a great job decorating it and getting it all ready. Beau came over one night and was a huge help in putting up that tree behind the crib. (YES, HE PAINTED IT BY HAND! AMAZING RIGHT?)

We are headed to San Francisco this weekend because our great family friends the Kavanaugh's are throwing Rochelle and I a couples shower at their house. They are truly a great family that I consider to be an extension of my real family and I'm sure that Baby Daly will be laughing hard inside Mommy's tummy on Saturday night. Pictures to follow.....

Kensie Jae Mills has Arrived!

We are very excited and proud to announce the birth of Kensie Jae Mills! She was born at 2:43 pm at Kaweah Delta Hospital here in Visalia. She weighed 7.3 lbs and is 20 inches long.

I must say that Alicia and Beau make one really cute baby! Both mother and daughter are very healthy but tired. Alicia did a great job throughout the whole process and the outcome was nothing short of a miracle.

We are so thankful and blessed to have this new member of our family and Baby Daly is very excited to have a new cousin!

UPDATE ON BABY DALY-

You can see Rochelle sporting her beautiful "Baby Bump" at 23 weeks along.

Birthdays, Baby Bumps, and a White Trash Saturday!

I would like to start this post out by updating "Baby Daly" and his massive head. You can see by the picture that he is starting to really "POP" out of Rochelle's tummy. Rochelle is 21 weeks and doing just awesome!

Hopefully this is a precursor to how Baby Daly will be when he comes into this world, because Rochelle ahs had the absolute best preganancy so far. But those of you in my family that have had the pleasure of knowing Baby Sean, you know that it's not going to be an easy child to deal with! (And no Beau this is not when you insert one of your jokes!)

As stated before in my previous post, we are enjoying the heck out of having our Brother and Sister home from baseball. Soon we will be able to include Mom and Dad Mills as they return home from their first season in Houston (NICE JOB BY THE WAY SKIP!)

Alicia is just about ready to give birth to little "TRUCK-DRIVING" Kensie (due date October 14th), and it was her birthday on Tuesday so Rochelle cooked up quite a feast including; pasta with clam sauce and an awesome Chocolate Cake! Alicia is also having a terrific pregnancy.....but don't just take my words for it, check out her blog @ http://alicia-blissfulgal.blogspot.com/.

So if you looked at the Title of this blog you notice that I've covered the BABY BUMP and BIRTHDAY parts. You might be wondering "WHAT DOES HE MEAN BY WHITE TRASH SATURDAY?", well I mean exactly that!!!

Beau and I decided to head out to our local shooting range before we went up to the Cal Poly vs. Fresno State Football game on Saturday night. Now there is nothing wrong with going out and shooting some guns at the range, but when you bring your 9 month pregnant wife with you and the other guy brings his 4 month pregnant wife with him, GUESS WHAT? ---------------------- YOU'RE WHITE TRASH!

Oh yeah, and we stopped at the greatest taco truck on the way home because we weren't quite feeling that we had fully encompassed what Visalia could offer us on a 95 degree Saturday afternoon.

And last but not least, I need to give a shout out to my Cal Poly Mustangs who fought hard against the mighty Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday night. The Mustangs actually had the Fresno State fans worried at halftime, as we were only down by 7 points. The 2nd half was nothing like the first and the Mustangs came up a little short. (WE STILL BEAT THE POINT SPREAD THOUGH! Go Stangs!)

Family, Fun and Football!

Sorry for the long duration between posts but I figured that everyone needed some time to digest the last post and make sure it wasn't an early April Fools Joke!

Rochelle, Baby Daly, and Myself have been enjoying having our favorite professional baseball playing brother and sister home. We've spent a lot of time catching up basically just being a family again. Beau and I have set out an immediate goal of reducing our Red Wine quantities in our wine fridges!
PS- WE'VE BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL!

Also we've enjoyed having Mama Mills home for a 10 days or so, it's been great to see her and spend some quality time with together.

If you haven't seen my wife, please don't ask about what we do on Sundays because I spend the entire day on Beau's couch watching Football and living and dying by every single play. Beau and I are always amazed at how quick Sundays go by, but the girls seem to make a comment every week about how slow the day goes by!

Here are some pictures of some Fat Chicks for everyone to enjoy! LOL! And a picture of two really HOT GUYS!
