Happy New Year!

I wanted to wish everyone an early Happy New Year and give everyone an update on Baby Daly!

We are 6 weeks away from the BIG DAY and Momma is still doing great; aside from some back pain when she sleeps. It's crazy to think that in a little over a month our baby will be here.....9 months goes by really quickly.

We are in Cayucos for the Holiday Weekend and below you will find some pictures of Rochelle and I. You can see that the "Baby Bump" is still growing rapidly!

2010 was a great year and we are so excited for the upcoming 2011! It's always nice to think back on what has happened in the last year and give thanks, so I thought I would list some of the things that Rochelle and I are thankful for...................

  • Baby Daly's Daddy having a JOBBY-JOB that he loves!

  • The addition of Miss Kensie Jae!

  • The addition of Haley Daly! (At least I think we are thankful for her....LOL)

  • The great friends and family in our lives that we love so much!

  • The last year in my twenties! (Please don't remind me)

  • And of course last but not least.........THE NEWS OF ROCHELLE'S PREGNANCY!

My New Year's Resolution will be to try and put more posts leading up to Baby Daly's arrival.

Happy New Years from The Daly's!

Too Long!

Sorry for the long delay between posts!! I've been a little busy with that thing people call a "JOB". So, what's been going on? Well, besides Baby Daly trying to poke through my wifes stomach like a scene out of the movie "Alien", everything has been great.

Rochelle and Baby Daly are doing great and we go for our next sonogram on Wednesday of next week. The last sonogram showed Baby Daly and how big he is getting, although we didn't see much because we didn't want to accidently see something that would ruin the "BIG SUPRISE". We knew he was big when our technician said "WOW, That baby has some meat on his bones!

Now I know what you all are thinking.......it obviously takes after Daddy, but I think it's fair to point out that I was only a little over 7 lbs when my beautiful wife weighed in at womping 9lbs 12 oz.

Other than that we are getting prepared for the arrival of Baby Daly by finishing up the Nursery, which you will see pictures of below. Rochelle did a great job decorating it and getting it all ready. Beau came over one night and was a huge help in putting up that tree behind the crib. (YES, HE PAINTED IT BY HAND! AMAZING RIGHT?)

We are headed to San Francisco this weekend because our great family friends the Kavanaugh's are throwing Rochelle and I a couples shower at their house. They are truly a great family that I consider to be an extension of my real family and I'm sure that Baby Daly will be laughing hard inside Mommy's tummy on Saturday night. Pictures to follow.....

Kensie Jae Mills has Arrived!

We are very excited and proud to announce the birth of Kensie Jae Mills! She was born at 2:43 pm at Kaweah Delta Hospital here in Visalia. She weighed 7.3 lbs and is 20 inches long.

I must say that Alicia and Beau make one really cute baby! Both mother and daughter are very healthy but tired. Alicia did a great job throughout the whole process and the outcome was nothing short of a miracle.

We are so thankful and blessed to have this new member of our family and Baby Daly is very excited to have a new cousin!

UPDATE ON BABY DALY-

You can see Rochelle sporting her beautiful "Baby Bump" at 23 weeks along.

Birthdays, Baby Bumps, and a White Trash Saturday!

I would like to start this post out by updating "Baby Daly" and his massive head. You can see by the picture that he is starting to really "POP" out of Rochelle's tummy. Rochelle is 21 weeks and doing just awesome!

Hopefully this is a precursor to how Baby Daly will be when he comes into this world, because Rochelle ahs had the absolute best preganancy so far. But those of you in my family that have had the pleasure of knowing Baby Sean, you know that it's not going to be an easy child to deal with! (And no Beau this is not when you insert one of your jokes!)

As stated before in my previous post, we are enjoying the heck out of having our Brother and Sister home from baseball. Soon we will be able to include Mom and Dad Mills as they return home from their first season in Houston (NICE JOB BY THE WAY SKIP!)

Alicia is just about ready to give birth to little "TRUCK-DRIVING" Kensie (due date October 14th), and it was her birthday on Tuesday so Rochelle cooked up quite a feast including; pasta with clam sauce and an awesome Chocolate Cake! Alicia is also having a terrific pregnancy.....but don't just take my words for it, check out her blog @ http://alicia-blissfulgal.blogspot.com/.

So if you looked at the Title of this blog you notice that I've covered the BABY BUMP and BIRTHDAY parts. You might be wondering "WHAT DOES HE MEAN BY WHITE TRASH SATURDAY?", well I mean exactly that!!!

Beau and I decided to head out to our local shooting range before we went up to the Cal Poly vs. Fresno State Football game on Saturday night. Now there is nothing wrong with going out and shooting some guns at the range, but when you bring your 9 month pregnant wife with you and the other guy brings his 4 month pregnant wife with him, GUESS WHAT? ---------------------- YOU'RE WHITE TRASH!

Oh yeah, and we stopped at the greatest taco truck on the way home because we weren't quite feeling that we had fully encompassed what Visalia could offer us on a 95 degree Saturday afternoon.

And last but not least, I need to give a shout out to my Cal Poly Mustangs who fought hard against the mighty Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday night. The Mustangs actually had the Fresno State fans worried at halftime, as we were only down by 7 points. The 2nd half was nothing like the first and the Mustangs came up a little short. (WE STILL BEAT THE POINT SPREAD THOUGH! Go Stangs!)

Family, Fun and Football!

Sorry for the long duration between posts but I figured that everyone needed some time to digest the last post and make sure it wasn't an early April Fools Joke!

Rochelle, Baby Daly, and Myself have been enjoying having our favorite professional baseball playing brother and sister home. We've spent a lot of time catching up basically just being a family again. Beau and I have set out an immediate goal of reducing our Red Wine quantities in our wine fridges!
PS- WE'VE BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL!

Also we've enjoyed having Mama Mills home for a 10 days or so, it's been great to see her and spend some quality time with together.

If you haven't seen my wife, please don't ask about what we do on Sundays because I spend the entire day on Beau's couch watching Football and living and dying by every single play. Beau and I are always amazed at how quick Sundays go by, but the girls seem to make a comment every week about how slow the day goes by!

Here are some pictures of some Fat Chicks for everyone to enjoy! LOL! And a picture of two really HOT GUYS!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Before reading any further into this post, I have to advise you on advice from my lawyer to please sit down and stop whatever you are doing and stop operating heavy machinery; because the information I'm about to give you has been known to cause car accidents and sudden drops in temperature (due to hell freezing over). Now for the big news................................................

Baby Daly's Daddy Has A Job!

As some of you might already know, I have accepted a job with Fleet Card Fuels in Bakersfield, Ca. I just finished my first week in the office on Friday and Rochelle and I are both so happy and blessed to have this opportunity.
For those of you who don't know the situation, here it is. When I broke my neck last July, I was planning on getting back to playing professional golf but unfortunately I'm just not physically able to play golf at the professional level anymore. I've been looking for a full-time job for the past 3 months or so and had been going on a few interviews when I was given the opportunity to interview with Fleet Fuels.

Without going too much into detail about the company, I will say that it's a great place to work and the people there in Bakersfield make it easy to see why it's grown into a very successful company. I've been hired as a Fuel Management Consultant, which will allow me to work from home in Visalia and commute to Bakersfield about once or twice a week. I have a new car (TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID) that gets around 45 MPG, new cell phone (The Droid, and yes it kills me to say this but Beau was right, it's a great phone!), new laptop, and more importantly a steady paycheck! No More trying to make a 5 foot putt in hopes of making $500.

Needless to say, Rochelle and Baby Daly are ecsastic about this new time in my life, except for the fact that since receiving my Droid phone, I've done nothing but play "WordFeud" against Beau and Alicia!

The New Daly Mobile!

Today was truly a great day as Rochelle and I went car shopping for the first time together and although we didn't plan on buying anything.........(this is when you look down and say to yourself; "Wow, That's a great looking Car").

So after driving around all day in this beautiful 2011 Chevy Traverse, we were convinced that we had found the car we wanted. Everyone at Giant Automotive was excellent and professional, but they had not been properly trained for the "Sean Show" aka "The Negotiator"! After about an hour going back and forth and hearing from them that "This is the lowest we can go", I convinced them not only to give us the price we wanted but also to give me money for the lovely Jetta! What they don't realize is that I was willing to pay them to take the Jetta from me so I wouldn't have to look at that car anymore. And if you have never seen the Jetta, trust me when I say that you would have a better chance of selling home insurance to a homeless man than you would of selling the Jetta for actual currency.

At this point in the negotition I had realized that these people had no chance of salvaging a profit margin and that they were getting worried that I might walk out of there with a straight up trade (2000 Jetta for 2011 Corvette), so I made them upgrade our car to leather seats too! Needless to say, I'm pretty proud of myself (if you haven't gathered that yet......YOU SHOULD BE A CAR SALESMAN!) and the deal we received but in all seriousness, I'm most happy about having a car for Rochelle and Baby Daly that they will feel safe and secure in!

PS- "The Daly Mobile" was what our old Ford Aerostar Van was called, so that's an inside joke between my sister and Mom, and UNCLE JIM!

PSS- I'm sorry but my excitement in this blog sometimes manifests into the form of using way too many "Quotation Marks" and !!Exclamation Points!!!

Baby Bump Growing!

This picture was taken today outside the "GREATEST MOVIE THEATRE IN AMERICA" aka - The Sequoia Mall 12! As you can see Baby Daly's head is starting to show; can't wait to see if it looks like a "Blowpop" when it comes out.

Baby Daly, his parents and his Nana Mills (aka Birdie) went to see the movie "Switch" with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. It was an overall good day because it ended with a great dinner with Taylor and the Stocktons at Tokyo Gardens. I 0nly say "good day" because it got off to a bad start with a little crash on my bike in Exeter (DON'T MAKE FUN, EVEN LANCE ARMSTRONG CRASHED THERE!).

Also you can see 2 shirts that Mom brought home from Houston for Rochelle and Baby Daly (So CUTE! - - wow, that sounded gay, but I'm sorry they are Cute)!

Rochelle 3 Months Along

Here's a pic taken yesterday showing Rochelle's tiny little "baby bump". She is 12 1/2 weeks pregnant now so I'm sure that bump is going to really start showing soon. Obviously pregnancy agrees with my wife as she looks absolutely gorgeous!

Not My Proudest Post!

I am posting this new Blog Post in protest and by no means do I condone the actions of my wife and sister. We went into San Luis Obispo for their World Famous Farmer's Market, and along the way we spotted Casey from the "Bachelerotte". If you didn't watch the show let me give a little background on our dear "Casey". HE'S A FREAK! He was the one that got a tattoo on his forearm for Ally. He also is the one that talks like he is "deaf" and partially "not all there". The girls made it a point to flag him down and get this picture with him. If you notice you will see him sporting the infamous tattoo.

Our Favorite Dogs at the Coast!

Rochelle and I met these 2 Somoyeds about 3 years ago when they were just PUPS. We make it a point to go and see them whenever we are here and see them on the beach. They are crazy cute and full of love, makes us miss our babies back home!

The Daly's at the Coast!

We are over in Cayucos for the week hanging out with the Daly Klan. My Uncle Peter and Aunt Mary are here visting from Ireland, so it's been a lot of fun having "Baby Daly" spending some time everyone. The whole family is here; Dad, Mom, Ann, Garrett, Uncle Peter, Aunt Mary, Cousin Hilary and Phillip, and their sons Brendan and Danny.

First Look at Baby Daly!

We had our first doctors appointment today and got to see our beautiful baby for the 1st time! It was an amazing moment to see him/her on the sonogram.

At first, he/she didn't move at all but all of sudden he (for the sake of repititon, I'm using he from now on) opened his arms and looked as if he was stretching and cleaning his eyes. Then as if it were on cue, he started doing a little Irish Jig that looked like something out of the movie "Happy Feet"!

You can see by the picture that he takes after his mom and dad with his HUGE HEAD! After looking at this picture, I'm absolutely convinced that we are having a BOY. We will all find out on February 19th!

What an amazing day, and Rochelle and I feel so blessed to have a healthy baby (BOY) and healthy MOMMY!

STILL PREGNANT!

I love my wife to death, but this is now the 9th pregnancy test she has taken! She said she is feeling so great that she needs the reassurance now that we are telling people.

So if you see Rochelle at the supermarket or drug store buying pregnancy tests please stop her so we can have an intervention! LOL

We're Having A Baby!

As the title of our blog shows..... we are excited to announce that we are PREGNANT!

Rochelle is about 9 weeks along and we are crazy excited.

We've known for about a month, but we were holding off in telling people until we could tell our parents. I think the overwhelming reaction has been shock! and Joy!

Keep checking back here at THEDALY.BLOGSPOT.COM for updates and other news that will be going on for the next 7 months.

Also, we will not be finding out the sex of "BABY DALY" so vote on our blog and let us know what you think it will be.
